Georgy Stalev, Delasport: One step ahead of technological trends

At a time when technology is constantly changing, Georgy Stalev - Technical Director (CTO) at Delasport - believes that companies need to stay one step ahead of the competition if they want to stand out from the crowd.

In an interview with SBC News, Stalev explained why “a technical approach is often the best way to solve a problem,” before addressing the growing need for teleworking solutions in the wake of the pandemic.

SBC: First of all, can you tell us a little about what your role in Delasport includes?

GS: As CTO for Delasport, I have to ensure that the company is consistently on the right technology path. This encompasses multiple perspectives such as the product vision, technical roadmap and, just as important, business continuity and software stability.

SBC: How has the use of best-in-class technology helped Delasport become a leading supplier?

GS: Industry standards have always been high. Gambling is one of the technology industries that continually pushes global technology trends forward. In a world of such demand, we had to be one step ahead to be competitive. In this regard, we have always strived to be one step ahead and set the pace for the development of the industry, instead of catching up with others.

SBC: How does Delasport ensure it is always up to date with the latest technology?

GS: As I mentioned in the previous question, we always invest to be one step ahead, not to keep up with the times. Our R&D team is constantly working to expand technical horizons and enrich the technical product portfolio.

SBC: What do you think will be the main technology trends in the next 12 months?

GS: Honestly, I'm having a hard time making a correct prediction given the crazy times COVID-19 has brought on us, but I'd say the tech world will continue to invest in online collaboration solutions as teams become more distributed.

New platforms for remote and remote work will appear. After the end of this pandemic, the IT world will change significantly, not so much in terms of technological innovation, but in the way we work and collaborate.

GS: How you deliver technology to your customers is the way to solve the problem.

When you manage to provide the right solutions for their needs, your technical approach will solve all their problems.

SBC: And finally, how is the best technology key used to meet the needs of players across multiple gaming jurisdictions?

GS: Meeting the requirements of different jurisdictions is one of today's challenges for the gambling industry. New markets are opening up every day, each with its own set of unique requirements. Our main goal is to keep the journey of the player and the joy of the product.

As such, we invest a lot to be compliant and maintain the unique Delasport gaming experience on our platform. There is no exact technological key to achieve this, it comes from years of professional experience and strong technologies working together.
